How Do Chemical Peels Work?
Chemical peels work by applying a chemical solution onto the top layer of the skin, known as the epidermis. This solution reacts with the dead skin cells, causing the skin to exfoliate and eventually peel off. As a result, newer, healthier skin is revealed, giving a smoother and more even complexion. The depth and strength of the peel determine the extent of exfoliation and the specific skin issues it targets.
Post-Peel Treatment Instructions

PM Routine
Leave the peel on for at least 4 hours. It can stay on until the evening skincare regimen. It must be washed off the same day.
Cleanse skin w/luke warm-cool water using a gentle cleanser. Do not overly scrub or exfoliate.
Finish with ONLY CliniCalm, Hyaluronic Acid Boosting Serum (HABS), Silkcoat balm, and SPF (yes, even at night!).

AM Routine
Day 2 - AM
Cleanse skin w/luke warm-cool water using a gentle cleanser. Do not overly scrub or exfoliate.
Use CliniCalm throughout the day if the skin is irritated. Apply HABS and Silkcoat balm for hydration. Apply SPF. Reapply SPF every 3 hours.
If makeup is absolutely necessary, makeup can be applied the next day but with new applicators or clean brushes to avoid cross-contamination.
PM Routine
Cleanse skin w/luke warm-cool water using a gentle cleanser. Do not overly scrub or exfoliate.
Finish with ONLY CliniCalm, Hyaluronic Acid Boosting Serum (HABS), Silkcoat balm, and SPF.
Expectations: Skin may be red, splotchy, and/or irritated. Post-Peel Kit products can be applied as much as necessary. The skin may not be peeling yet.

Cleanse skin w/luke warm-cool water using a gentle cleanser. Do not overly scrub or exfoliate.
Use CliniCalm throughout the day if the skin is irritated. Apply HABS and Silkcoat balm for hydration. Apply SPF. Reapply SPF every 3 hours.
Expectations: Skin may become itchy. Use post-peel products as needed.
PM Routine
Cleanse skin w/luke warm-cool water using a gentle cleanser. Do not overly scrub or exfoliate.
Finish with ONLY CliniCalm, Hyaluronic Acid Boosting Serum (HABS), Silkcoat balm, and SPF.
Expectations: Skin may feel itchy and tight, and some peeling around forehead, nose, and chin may be occurring.

Cleanse skin w/luke warm-cool water using a gentle cleanser. Do not overly scrub or exfoliate.
Use CliniCalm throughout the day if the skin is irritated. Apply HABS and Silkcoat balm for hydration and as needed throughout the day. Apply SPF. Reapply SPF every 3 hours.
Expectations: Skin peeling and sloughing. DO NOT manually remove, exfoliate, or pick at excess dead skin.
PM Routine
Cleanse skin w/luke warm-cool water using a gentle cleanser. Do not overly scrub or exfoliate.
Finish with CliniCalm, Hyaluronic Acid Boosting Serum (HABS), Silkcoat balm, and SPF. Gentle moisturizer can now be added to the routine.
Expectations: Skin peeling and sloughing. DO NOT manually remove, exfoliate, or pick at excess dead skin. Close to Day 6, the skin should be reduced to dry patches and sloughing, not excess peeling.

Cleanse skin w/luke warm-cool water using a gentle cleanser. Do not overly scrub or exfoliate.
Finish with Hyaluronic Acid Boosting Serum (HABS), Silkcoat balm, SPF, and gentle moisturizer.
Expectations: Peeling should be subsided.
PM Routine
Cleanse skin w/luke warm-cool water using a gentle cleanser. Do not overly scrub or exfoliate.
Finish with Hyaluronic Acid Boosting Serum (HABS), Silkcoat balm, and SPF. Regular skincare regimen can now be added to the daily routine (test patch toners and retinol before using all over. Speak with your esthetician at the time of appointment for which products will be safe to re-introduce). Physical exfoliators are NOT permitted until 8-10 days after peel.
Expectations: Skin should be getting back to normal. Make sure to use SPF every day along with any products your esthetician has suggested.
